Im having problems putting back in my main mirror on my Orion SkyQuest Xt 10,...

...Please Help me...? I took out my primary mirror to clean it because it had alot of dust on it and ive had it for 3 years & it have never been cleaned so I decided I needed to clean it so I could see objects clearer & better.... Well now im having problems putting it back in... Do I have to go in from the top of the scope to put it in or what. When I go to put it in the way I took it out it dont want to fit for some reason. I took the 4 clamps off like it said in the book.... It want fit, the mirror fits fine in the bracket or whatever but the bracket itself will not go in.... What do I need to do??? Please Help, I dont want to scratch the mirror. Any Advice????
