Most of my family live in North Carolina so I was just wondering if anybody knew if I would be allowed to enroll at NC State or East Carolina University, or any such universities, at the age of 17? I'm an American citizen because my Dad is active duty military stationed in the UK and my mum is Irish. I got really good high school grades (GCSE's) and I'm currently doing my first year of A-Levels (further education), but I'm not enjoying them at all. Would I be allowed to go to a US college at 17? thank you so much, you don't understand how valued your help is!

Yes, American colleges allow 16 and 17 year olds to enrol if they have the right grades which you sound to have.

This is not the only option you have, there are loads of level 3 courses that would you into uni, either in the UK or USA.

You would be able to go to a US university regardless of where you're living though the paperwork may change. However you have to have a certain amount of credits and work done prior to entering university which are usually completed in college or high school. (College in the British sense of the word)
