Im 15 & thinking of a kawasaki EX250 ninja once I get my license. I don't know...

...where to begin, what do i need? So, yes I'm 15, going to be 16 in November and I have no clue where to begin my training for sportbikes. All I know is that I would love to know how to ride one and what kind of license I need. I live in Calgary, Alberta. I am thinking of starting with a kawasaki EX250 ninja. I need to know whats best for starters and all the information you need.
 
I don't know anything about bikes but you might want to make sure you have a regular auto on the side. A bike is not very convenient for going to school with or driving with friends.
 
(1) go to DMV and pick up a motorcycle rider's manual
(2) study and take the written test - pass
(3) practice riding - with a licensed motorcycle rider
(4) or take a course - MSF is a good course
(5) if you take the MSF - you get a license when you finish the course
(6) otherwise take the road test and pass
(7) be happy

Just know that motorcycle is FUN but dangerous.

I ride knowing the dangers. So I don't do stupid stuff or take extra risks. Even so you can prevent other DRIVERS who hit you. Just know the dangers and be truthful with yourself and you won't be disappinted.
