IFC Premiere Talkback - Hell Girl (Spoilers)

So for the first time in this series, we actually see one of Hell Girl's revenge wishers (for lack of a better term) actually going to Hell.

Looks like it's going back to the original formula next week, but I'm starting to wonder if
she or a later character will die an early death afterwarRAB.

That would be yet another good twist.
 
Sorry to double-post, but I've just now noticed: Hell Girl uses what looks like an old Macintosh Classic. How does she get email on a computer that old?
 
Nope. Other than Hell Girl's coterie and the Shibatas, there are no recurring characters in the first season of the show.

I go with the theory that they are super advance, high technological, super mystical computer from the bowels of hell.

As for this episode, I found it mess up it was the cop, it did make sense, I just find it weird that cop would go out of his way to impress a school girl. "She isn't even legal yet... or is she?"
 
Spending pre-Christmas time with family. Thank goodness this show is leaving prime time next week.

Hi, guys new to the forum.

You know I'm surprise this series doesn't get a bigger talkback, especially from the earlier eps because I find those to be hilarious!

The ways the people get send to hell is kinda funny because if you think back most of them(in the beginning) was kinda harmless. I mean a vet being sent to hell because he was on the phone and the dog dies on his watch?! C'mon he was a jerk and he was certainly right about pet owners dressing their animals in ridiculous clothes, but to go to hell???
Or a schoolgirl being a victim of gossip and then having her picture and everyone believing this "shy" girl is a slut? LOL

I'm loving this series, but on a different level. However it does seem some of the later eps have gotten dark but I'll keep watching.

We start with an "I can quit any time" joke, surprised Hajime isn't the one saying it.

In this episode, Hajime and Tsugumi go to where no man and girl has gone before...no, not a Star Trek convention...

1. There was email software and even web-browser for the old macs. Blame it on the fact they stuck around in schools for years after they disappeared in homes, and the fact that some of the computers Apple released in that form factor did have an upgrade path. One of the first machines I used the Internet on was in fact a Mac SE/30.

2. Hellgirl could be an awesome case modder too, and it's actually got a PC in it.
 
I thought she was using the Lappy's e-mail program.

"Dear Hell Girl, how do you type with boxing glove...erm, I want this guy dead!"

This show is descending into a formula, which is a shame considering the consequences of the premise. It could be very, very interesting to elaborate on the more subtle issues here.

^^Yeah the plot doesn't kick in for a pretty long time. Kind of one of my gripes with the series

(How did this show get not one but two sequels and a live-action drama series again?)

Tsugumi being wrong on revenge somehow?

What's next, Ai crying? Actually, I'll be looking foward to that, whenever that happens.
