If i have 2 different subs in a box will it sound terrible or what?

i have a 12" kenwood 1000w and a 800W sony xplod. i was thinking of putting them both in an enclosed box but how will the sounds be? like will it sounds really bad or will i be able to tell? and is a ported box or an enclosed box better?
