...faiths, free thinkers or atheists,? and if additionally, that religion has its finger in the pie of the law of the land, education of children and the political system....how best can it be reformed, if it is continually brainwashing the next generation, due to its "holy" book saying that the religion..has a [divine] right to have a say on, and interfere with every aspects of human life?

how are its adherants ever going to become truly adult with the ability to think for themselves, if their social norms etc, are stuck in the past... tied to a book a thousand years and more, behind the times?

whether it consciously intends it or not...if a religion is imbued with a totalitarian spirit,----as evidenced by how it treats and talks of other faiths&atheists----how can it best be encouraged [either from within or from abroad], to evolve into something more benign....into a faith that accepts --as most others now do-- that it part of a rich global religious tapestry...one that in the modern world has no more right to Impose its pattern than any other?

Right, this is exactly why it's time we quit teaching our kids about this religion of evolutionism in schools. These people are influencing our laws with their eugenics, and brainwashing our kids with their fairy tales about fish walking out of the water and eventually becoming mammals, then mammals going back into the sea (without a shred of scientific evidence to support their claims). And anyone who has the gall to actually think for themselves and just put up their hand to say "this doesn't make sense" is branded an ignorant fool by their leaders who are commended for making such statements that imply that anyone who challenges their religious faith in evolution is a heretic and must be dealt with. Definitely keep that religion out of the schools and let the kids learn science as it should be (the study of how things work) and teach them to think critically and challenge ideas that don't make sense (regardless of where they came from). I really struggle with who is actually being brainwashed these days.

Well, that would depend on whether the free thinkers and the atheists were out to ban and stifle the religion that they claim was out to ban and stifle them. (You've got to be referring to Islam, haven't you? If it was Christianity you wouldn't have the slightest fear on naming it because you know full well that Christianity will not attack you for expressing your opinion.)
