...still get liability insurance? Well, I want to start a dog walking"operation". I do not want to get a business license, and I want to get liability insurance just in case and god forbid something were to happen to the clients dog. If I can't what are my options? What should I state in the contract that would relieve my client and assure them the dog would be safe even if i dont have the insurance. One good thing is I can afford to pay if something were to happen. but anyways. A little help would be great thanks to those who answer.

Call around for some quotes with some local agents.

They will know the rules and laws in your state and should be able to help you.

Yes, but you likely can't afford it.

The last dogwalking business I quoted, was $1200.

Most contracts aren't going to hold up in court, if you're trying to waive your legal liability. If a dog you're walking bites someone, YOU are still on the hook for the injuries.

If it makes you feel better, none of my pet sitters have EVER had insurance.
