Now the CB I have doesn't have a plug in the back to plug in a lighter adapter? Do I need to strip wires? HELP! Very electronically challenged here!

This is simple. I would assume the power wires on the CB are red and black. Red is usually positive and black is usually negative on car electrical components. You can buy a plug in adapter from an electronics store or stereo shop. It will plug in to the dash socket and have 2 wires for you to splice with your CB. Ask the sales person how to do this. Twist the red wires together and the black wires together tightly and wrap each wire splice with electrical (black) tape. Tug gently on the wires to make sure they don't pull apart..Do not allow the positive and negative wires to contact each other. You will cause a short circuit and blow a fuse. That's it!

You may have to splice a power cord in there. Be VERY carefull with the CODE. Make sure what wire is POSITIVE on the radio and the plug.
