okay i have two twelve" pioneers i want to put in a box

i wanted the box to fit in my trunk perfectly so i measured everything

here is what i have so far with the box...

3 feet in length
1 foot in width
1 foot in higth

i was going to leave a foot in between each sub so i could mount the amp on the box too...

should this be good?
does anyone have any suggestions?
should i put a divider in between the subs so they have their own individual airspaces??would that change the sound of it at all?

Also...

which way should the subs be facing??

I did have them in ghetto little boxes and put one behind the driver seat and one behind the passenger seat so when the sub hit, it would beat right against the back of my seat.
but that took up legspace for the backseat passengers and when they did sit in the backseat they were putting their feet all over the box..

if you want i can put my trunk measurements on..

i drive a 2001 dodge stratus.
so the box is too big??

it is going to be sealed..
so when you say the subs should face backwards what are you talkin about?

like mounting the subs so that the back sticks out??

i was talking about which way should i face the box?
towards the trunk?
towards the back seat?

Find the manufacturers recommended volume. If you can't find it tell us we can probably help. Right now you have 1.5 ft3 per speaker this may be a bit large.

Personally I don't like the look of an amp mounted on a box, but it's up to you. Look for some other possible places.

Yes, you should have a divider in between, you can run into problems if one of the subs blows, the other one may blow also. It won't change the sound.

The subs should be facing backwards, so you don't get any bass cancellation.

The dimensions on the volume don't matter, just don't make it a perfect cube. This will cause distortion.
