I think the only reason to take kids out of school and home educate is bullying,

what do you think?
there's some kids on our st and the mum is a control freak (her words) and she thinks school is a terrible place and keeps the kids away, they are living in a world of their own and the crazy thing is the kids are quite tough and I feel they could cope well
 
Home one to one teaching has obvious benefits but bullying takes place in the world and cannot be avoided either at school or in the work place and unless a child is able to deal with it they will be at a great disadvantage. Lifelong friendships are formed during school days so do think carefully over the options good luck with your decision
