"I think the coil is rubbing a little bit" on the subwoofer?

So i'm thinking about buying this sub of someone online, and i asked him what condition this sub was in and he said "good i only used it for 5 hours but I think the coil is rubbing a little bit", what does he mean and how serious is it. I know hes referring to the voice coil but that's about all i know.
