I phone Diff sim detected connect to itunes after unlock solution 100%

Hello, i did exactly like above. But when i reboot my Iphone its just shows the ipone cable and that i have to activate it with itunes. Is it some special files in your Lockdown folder that i have to earse after i reset it?
 
i have tried all the suggestions above , still same problem , i cannt restore my 3Gs on V3.1.3 , no SHSH on file , please help
 
Hi there, thanks to 'uqbah' and this sounds like it works. This is the third time i returned iPhone for replacement at Apple store. However screen is on 'Different sim detected'.

I have a 3GS 3.1.3 MC model on Orange

I got this new one 2 hours ago, just got home and this is what i done>

Activated phone with Orange sim
Jailbroke using Spirit
Installed source: http/repo666.ultrasn0w.com
Installed: Ultrasn0w
Installed: SSH

Now i followed the steps exactly and now when i put tmobile sim i have network whereas before i never, so thanks for that BUT iPhone still stuck on that screen and i can receive calls.

Permissions set as 0644

Could you help and tell me if i done wrong? Thanks
 
hello, thank you for the info.. tried this with a client's 3GS locked to Orange UK wanting to switch to VodaCom-SA

JB'd with spirit
unlocked with ultrasn0w 93

as soon as orange sim was switched out for Voda, showed voda signal but screen locked up with the Different SIM detected msg

added afc2

went in with iPhoneBrowser

followed instructions posted in this thread

phone now is not on lock screen and shows voda signal but....

it will now not connect to iTunes nor iPhoneBrowser

shows err msg: iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000001).

please advise,

Now even my original Orange sim is not working after restoring previous Lockdown file. :S
 
i have the same problem and try ur procedure many times but same problem and when i copy lockdown folder delete older folder and restart iphone without sim card . after restart it say insert sim card to activate iphone and then i have to insert my original sim and after that i try to change the sim , it again say different sim activated ..please help
 
worked for me on 2g 3.1.2 but had no service until updated to 3.1.3 yyyyaahhhhoooooow
 
Tested on iphone 3gs new bootrom, worked for me :-)

Steps:
- activated with PhoneBook Card from Dits
- jailbreak with spirit
- disabled 3g
- installed ultrasn0w
- put my t-mobile sim in the iphone (got the different sim message)
- remove sim card (no sim card in the iphone)
- followed this guide (usb cable not connected to my pc)
- installed ultrasn0w again
- shutdown the iphone
- put my t-mobile sim in the iphone
- voila a unlocked iphone 3gs 3.1.3 new bootrom (vodafone sim also works now)

thanks mate it worked now ...........actually i was connecting cable and copying lockdown folder. we should connect by wifi ..thanks alot ..............................................
 
write click on each file in lockdown folder and select properties u will see like this..



in octal text box write 0644.
normaly they are 0644..
