I Need Help On Wiring My Car Audio Amp!!!?

Yes throw away the 9 gauge and the 4 gauge. You need 1 or 0 gauge wire for that big of an amp. It will perform much better. Oh, and throw that capacitor in the trash as well, it only hurts the system. If you don't believe me just ask any high car stereo shop. Get higher amp alternator, and run same size wire from it to battery and ground. You'll have a bullet proof system if you'll do this, I promise.
 
4 guage - 8 guage is a regular dblock size. but if you only have one amp why are you even using one completly purposless, either keep the 4 guage in or go up to 2 guage or 1/0. or if you have a second amp go 4AWG - 8AWG
 
I have a 1400 watt amp and i have 4 gauge wire running from battery to my trunk. Right at my trunk someone put a distribution block and changed to 9 gauge. Should I throw away 9 gauge and put some more 4 gauge in?
