I need car radio help!!!!!!!!!!?

its not my car but my friends car radio asks her for a password or a code.what causes it?or what is it and how do we fix it we dont know the code
 
This happens when your car dies or the battery has been disconnected on stock radios. If you do some research on google for the make and model of the car radio that you need the password for you should be able to find the password. If you would have added that info in the question I could have helped more. Sorry.
