this quadrupling of gas tax is just like cash for clunkers. label it one thing, but we all fucking know what it's really about
 
i personally think that the rules should be so strict, that a tanker hitting ground should almost bankrupt that company. they should be so fearful of fucking up that it should never happen

We have a plan in place for such issues, but they decided not to use it.

Spend millions for NOAA to develop an action plan

We don't allow private fire companies anymore because it's the best way to ensure that those dealing with a catostrophic event are prepared and trained to manage such.

This should be the same. You fuck up, the government gets a call. They send out their people. They fix the issue. Then you get a bill, plus a penalty, plus sanctions.

End of story.
 
I hope he doesn't. I doubt that he will, but I certainly hope that he doesn't.

The handling of this has been as bad, if not worse than Katrina. At least Jindhal has the balls to do something.
 
I love the Government threatening to take over.

Fuck, if you guys KNOW of an answer, fucking implement it. Don't let BP dick around anymore. This whole situation is laughable.
