Well that explains it.
Foxx and Farrell had ZERO chemistry. Given they are 2 cops, partners who trust each other with their lives they were acting like they just met an hour before each scene. There was VERY LITTLE dialogue between them, pretty much non-existent emotions and feeling of some sort of friendship. It was pathetic and I WISH i was overexaggerating. Just go see it and you'll see what i'm talking about, guaranteed. Plot was skewed, there was at least 40 minutes worth of useless scenes which were made up of funny camera angles which really had zero point. That's all the movie had going for it, effects, nice cars and some nice filming locations. But very predictable to a point where any moron could figure out the ending, they didn't even try to make it interesting, you were pretty much left to looking forward to the next cool shooting effect or camera angle.. everything else lacked substance big time. Especially the whole little love story between Colon Farrell and the azn bitch the circumstances of which were completely unrealistic and pathetically fake. Farrell appeared like a half-way retarded person attempting to conceal his idiocy... he had the stupid look on his face the entire movie, he's not meant for this role.. and they weren't made to be partners even though Foxx tried..
