I have two 12" rockford fosgate subs with an SPL 1500 amp?

Well how many ohms is each sub and how is it wired? Is the amp overheating? Amps go into protect from over heating, overcurrent, over voltage, shorts, etc.

Also, SPL is a junky flea market brand, this might be one reason also.
 
when i turn it up and the bass gets going the amp shuts off or goes into protect mode and the subs obsiously stop but the music still plays then it comes back on and the shuts back off again but music still plays can someone help?
each sub is bridged but i dont know how many ohms r running to each my buddy thought it wasnt pulling enough power but yeah SPL is pretty lame and its almost 3 years old
