stock Ford Focus? What do I need to do to make it work at 1500 RMS, I keep hearing about the "Big 3" How much does the upgrading cost. I'm guessing a new alternator will be needed as well, anything else? This will be in the car along with a 4 channel 850 watt rockford fosgate powering component polk 6.5 Championship speakers, and I want to add 4 pioneer 5 ways, so another amp for that. The 1500 RMS will probably be powering like an RE or KICKER woofer, havn't decided if I want one or two woofers. Do you see what I'm trying to get at?

Well to get 1500 RMS into 1 channel you have to operate it at 1 ohm considering that avg woofer has 4ohm impedance you will need 4, but you get a 2 ohm woofer with dual voicecoil you will be bring it down to 1 ohm load and drive 1500 into 1 channel. For that much power you need a sub that can handle it, I recommend either RE or Orion They have some awesome woofers. New alternator would be a good upgrade you may want to also consider a cap, 1faret.
