ok i saw this once before and want to know if someone can explain to me how it works and maybe a website as to where i can get it..
but basically a old friends car had leds under the seats that everytime the bass would hit they would glow.. sometimes bright when it hit hard and sometimes just a dim glow.. if you could tell me where they hook up the lighting and where i can buy them it would be greatly appreciated.

Try out urban-neon-car-lights.com. This website gives underglow kits, interior kits, you name it. I purchased some subwoofer LED rings there, and how I installed that was by cutting off the lighter adapter plug and placed one wire (on my amplifier powering the subs) on the power cable and the second wire on the battery cable. Then there was a little box that turned up or down the sensitivity of the light, and had three settings: off, on, or bass control. How these LED's and neons work is by feeling excessive vibration and then they turn on. Depending on how hard your speakers and/or subs hit can affect the sensitivity of the pulsation.

It is a basic electronic sensor that reacts to different frequencies. Kind of like an automatic light show in your car like at concerts. Only yoy have to adjust the electronics to react differently.

You can buy the kit at Radio Shack, or check car stereos online.
