w/ 4 gauge wire that..? cuts out every-time the power is turned up. I have it installed in an 05 sts with the factory nav unit. The amp light turns red when the bass hits hard and cuts off. It was professionally installed and they are saying..."well thats just what happens I guess." Unbelievable!!!
 
i have two kicker l7 12's hooked up to a zx1500.1 and the amp will shut off when i turn them up to loud for safety reasons so that the speakers dont blow. i think it has something to do with the amp
 
Sometimes professionally installed doesnt mean anything I have stumped installers before just to see if I can. There are a lot of things that could cause it . Sometimes amps need a higher volt head unit to work properly, you may not have enough juice in your battery, it could be any number of things. I would take it and get a couple of "second" opinions
 
first of all that is horrendous service where did you get it installed..
it sounds like your amp is going into protect mode basically its getting to hot or over worked try resetting it or just unplugging the fuse from your battery wire it baqck up and see if your amp works again make sure they installed it somewhere where its getting ventilation
