i would go with the 2ohms, that's what i have, and that's what is better sounding.

I have the amp now and i want to get 2 15" L7's. My only problem is do i get the 2 ohm or the 4 ohm version of the speaker? Does it even matter, are they both the same depending on how I wire them?

Yes it does matter.
If you get the 4 ohm version you can wire them down to one ohm for more power but will get less life out of your amp..

2 ohm version for a final load of 2 ohms. you amp does 1500w @ 2 ohms.

While you can get more power if you get the 4 ohm and wire them to 1 ohm, you most likely dont have the electrical upgrades to back it up and you will fry your amp.

since your amp is only 2 ohm stable I would get the dual 2ohm subs so you can wire it down to 2 ohms. you wire each sub up to 1 ohm
1ohm+1ohm=2ohm, this will get the most power out of your amp and still be stable. just use the kicker wiring diagram in my source link.

Use parallelel wiring on the voice coils then wire the subs in series.
