i have a kawasaki ninja 600 that seems to loose power at 6000 rpms anyone know whats

wronge? it runs fine till its hits 6000 rpms then it seems fo fall on its face. the guy that had it before me let it sit for 2 years. the carbs have been cleaned and valves have been cleaned as well. does anyone know what could be causeing this problem?
 
My best guess would be that even though the carbs have been cleaned they are not fully cleaned or set properly but it would be one of those things you would have to see to really figure out. Pull the plug after running it for a while and post back if you still have the problem and you would probably get a better answer on here.
