any ideas? it will run when i get it cranked as long as i am giving it throttle. When i let off of throttle to idle it dies.
compression on both is 120..it is pumping fuel into carbs when running. new gas, new plugs. carbs are clean. when you gun the throttle while running its sluggish for a quick second then reacts. i have to spray gas each time to start. any more suggestions? please help.

Idle stop out of adjustment?
Cable linkage stretched?
Slow speed idle jet plugged with dirt or congealed oil?
Water in carburetor?
Low compression due to worn rings?
Old gas in tank?

well, it obviously sounds like its not getting enough fuel, so i'd start there. possibly the carb is gunked up, idle is out of adjustment, fuel filter clogged up, is there a fuel pump - probably not, but check if fuel lines are clean, air intake is clean and air filter.
