kicker 750watt amp for a sub? I would like to know is the 105amp alternator my problem with it jumping down to like 11.5 when the bass hits. I replaced the alternator with the same 105amp. when driving along the car will hesitate at times when you go to accelerate. The check engine light lite up and I checked it at autozone and they said MAF sensor /low voltage. So, if I get a higher amp alternator will that eliminate the maf issue or is it actually the maf that is screwed up ? cause when i don't play the radio everything seems fine. Other thing is this. What size should i get on the alternator a 120, 160, 200, 220 ? thanks system again is monsoon 500 watt amp with stock front speakers, then a 12 " kicker sub powered by a 750.1 amp kicker amp
 
before spending the money on a high output alternator try a capacitor. with what you are running i would use maybe a 2 farad "cap". this should stop the headlights from dimming and all. the cap acts like a storage bank for power and when your music hits dynamic peaks it will use the power stored in it to back up the power from your alternator and battery. if this fails to solve your problem then go to mechman.com for nice high output alternators.
