I have a 1989 kawasaki mojave but it wont kick start what can i do?

the only way i can get it to start is if i pull it behind a car or push it down a big hill in 3rd gear is there anything i can buy or anything i can adjust to make this problem go away i would like to have a 4wheeler that started on its own instead of having a neighbor pull me everytime i wanna ride i need links to parts i need to buy and things like that and do u think if i sprayed some ether in there it might start
