I have a 1986 kawasaki zx1000. when i try to turn it over the carbs pop off

like its firing at the wrong time? It sounds like it wants to start but it just blows the carbs off. Ive never seen this before. I just had the engine serviced. What could this be?
 
Sounds like a timing problem.. Take it back for a check of that . Timing should be in the ballpark of 10/13 degrees advance.
