I have 2 x 150 Watt 4 0hm rockford fosgate speakers for my car, Im wondering...

...what size amp I should use? Would 300W amp be alright since I heard you need a lot of power to run 4 0hm or something. thanks.
 
its rockford fosgate so get a powerful amp haha... wut i would do is get an amp that is a LIL HIGHER than the total RMS of BOTH speakers, (always go by the RMS power n NOT the "peak power") and i would just start the gain setting at low n slowly turn the gain higher n higher til my speakers sound good .. ppl say that if u get an amp to powerful for speakers that the speakers will blow up or fry, that maybe is possible, but jus dont set the gain level to its max...duh

jus dont get an amp thats lower in RMS than the speaker, or else ur amp will be underpowered n will overheat ALOT cuz it simply doenst have enough juice to power up the speaker...if it overheats then ur amp will temporary shutoff til it cools down, but the longer it continues to overheat the shorter time ur amp will last
