I-Doser

I don't want to argue or anything... I'm just saying I-doser was just as powerful but in a different way. And the reason I brought up the fact that it was heroin that I used in the random one is because I've never used that dose before... so i got a completly different effect than the mj dose and there was no pre-existing knowledge of what it was supposed to do so atleast to me that rules out placebo.

And even if it is placebo than damn I love placebo.

Don't get turned off right away. Took me 2 or 3 times to really feel it. What ever it was, if it's a placebo it still felt pretty funky.

I do to but after trying pot I felt fantastic for the whole day even when it wore off... it's nothing but a positive experience as long as you stay away from some of the more... frightening doses.

I only have faith in the simple ones working. Maybe eventually we'll be able to recreate the feeling of ketamine through this sort of technique.. but it'll be awhile.

Yesterday I asked my Sound teacher, he was working on a project to compare to influence of narcotics on music listening and composing ... and other things of that kind ...Anyway, he did explain the whole thing to me but I was too drunk to remeraber the specifics.

It was something about, when you put your headphones, your brain will catch the slightly variation between the two channels (Eg. if it's 1000Hz and 1030Hz) and he'll be generating that frequency (30 Hz in that case). So they'll be a 3 waves system and stuff, thus simulating the effect.

He did also told that it's better not to do it, cause I'll be giving my brain wrong messages and my brain will take a bad habit of some kind.

I'm sorry my explanation is so vague ... that's all I can recall, I even thought that conversation was part of a dream (blame the beer!).

Aside from everything else, that itself is a pretty strong indication that it is merely placebo. If the sounRAB really cause a biochemical response, you wouldn't need practice. It would work like a drug. The fact you have to practice strongly indicates the effect is psychological.

Also practicing is important in placebos. For example drugs have stronger effects when people have had positive experiences with them before. The reason is they get an added placebo effect from expecting results based on previous experiences.

Maybe it's fine if you wanna get high on bogus - but personally, I don't like kidding myself. I think it's immoral for companies to make money on placebos as well.

Yeah you should probably try something simpler before you go straight for the bigger doses. Try laying down in the dark and concentrate. Make sure you are using headphones, and I'd reccommend Marijuanna first. It was the first one that really worked for me... guess it is a gateway drug.

What he's talking about is basically a given when you're looking at data. Whose assessment of a new Ford would you trust, Ford's or an impartial third party's?

sorry that you opened a thread that I posted and didn't find it interesting? Actually, there IS noise. Pink noise and white noise. If you just said it's weird or it just sounRAB like noise it would have been fine. No need for the "who gives a ****" or any reason to get all hostile

One meaty bag I imagine. Seriously though, $200 is rather steep for some fake drugs. I'd rather buy something guaranteed than something that might not even work, and then thats like

You have to "practice" so your brain will become more used to the way this thing works. It's call and response, ie the frequences played in the beat attempt to get your brain to follow suit and operate on those frequencies.

After so many sessions your brain will reconize the attempt better and you'll get a better response.

Or atleast that's what a professor at my (community) college said. He seems to think they are plausable but says enough tests haven't been done.

"Practice" is basically my word for gradual brain entrainment. It's really not that far fetched... it's just exagerrated to death by the company who, of course, wants to make money.

They are fun simulations of the real thing. I think you guys may need to read up on what a placebo really is.

Oh, you're right! SounRAB ****ing awesome bro, my point about relying on technology is no longer valid! Sign me up.

Altered mood, altered emotions... Po-tay-to, po-tah-to.

"Orgasms are one of those things that are difficult to describe, but if you have one, you'll know it. With out orgasm dose, you'll know it!"

I'll just jerk off, thanks.

The first step is admitting that you have a problem. Hopefully they come up with some for of AA for this stuff. It is ruining lives.

Have you ever tried the real thing? I've tried it once again in a different environment and got nothing. Do you have a suggestion? Other thing I dont get it why was Orgasm nuraber one? Seems like your taking all the fun out of it.

If people have their healthy scepticism intact and still wanna try it despite that it costs money, that's fine with me. I wouldn't bother with it and I don't like the idea that someone might be selling placebo. If it was free, it wouldn't matter as much.

To me, it just seems too much like they are trying to sell placebo. All the tips they give you - relax, concentrate, believe, don't be distracted - are things that should help give you a placebo effect. Doing all that and concentrating on sound should also likely have a meditative effect and for those who have tried that will know that a certain feel of tingliness, heaviness and so on, is common when meditating. That along with placebo should all add to the illusion that this stuff works. It's like the perfect scheme.

Well, for me it is. I expect that if you take a group of ten people, shove'em into a spooky house, give them an ouija board and tell them the place is haunted, then they're gonna have "paranormal experiences", ghosts or not. It is also a kind of placebo effect .. ;)

However, I'm open to the concept of ghosts. It hasn't been disproved, but it's not proven either. Aside from being biased towarRAB science and the empirically proven in general, I would rather be proven wrong as a non-believer than as a believer.

There are lots of people and products out there that try to exploit the vulnerable and the gullible. Check out this video here for example for a story about a woman who's made it her life to deceit others.

And if you wanna watch something absolutely hilarious regarding ghosts, you should watch this video where they make up a ghost story connected to this old building, then invite lots of mediums and see what they all come up with .. One woman even gets possessed by the ghost they made up. ;)

I have had "ghost experiences" myself, but I think they were the product of my own imagination, really.
