This is an unsourced statement which is a no-no .. And using I-Doser propaganda as a source (if you're thinking of that) would also be a no-no. You don't know that it alters your brainwaves. You believe that it does. If you wanna claim that it actually has a physiological effect, you should find a serious source to back it up.

Anyways, even registered users on i-doser.com are conflicted about this. Check out the poll from their forums -> I-Doser.com :: View topic - The Official "Does It Work?" Poll

And they want you to pay for this service .. I would be sceptical. ;)

I'm not sure exactly what fact you've proven, or opinion you've shot down.

I was of the opinion that it may work, but that I'm not interested. Conceptually it may be just about altering your consciousness, but on the I-Doser site itself it proclaims "Powerfully Alter Your Mood". Seems like they aren't trying to sell a tingly feeling so much as they're trying to sell emotional changes.

Yes, I can be stubborn, but the things I brought up are not facts to be disproved- except maybe diction with one word.

If you like this and enjoy altering your emot-..... consciousness, then go for it homes. I just find it funny how society continues to approach WorlRAB laid out in books I read: where we live vicariously through television, overmedicate and dial up..... consciousnesses.... from a machine.

Doesn't mean the **** doesn't work; it just means I find it ****ing hilarious.

Conan: That rip was pretty weak. If you want to serve me like a Thanksgiving turkey, you can do better than just repeating what I said... "I'm fat.", "Ohhh, you're fat- you eat a lot!! Diss.", "Yup, that's what I said."

I tried a binaural beat on the recommendation of a friend with all the lights out and headphones on. I found it to be a very disconcerting experience. I became very anxious and afraid of my surroundings, so stopped it midway through.

I've been doing these for 3 days now and I just did Pot and I swear it's working so great right now. I don't know if it's a placebo and don't care - anything that makes me feel like this I'm endorsing! GO I-DOSER GO!!

Also I LOVE JAZZ!

I looked it up and the Recreational Drug Thread was the only result, but for time's sake, seeing as its 110 pages, I would just make this. Because that's obviously about REAL drugs. Firstly, it is quite annoying for anyone to hear the concept and say "ohhh that can't be real!" I see comments on youtube videos of certain doses that were posted and people REALLY think you will get high listening to the Marijuana one, or drunk listening to the Alcohol one. Binaural Beats and the science behind them has been around for over 100 years. It's not some new found gimmick. It is simply a recreational program that alters your brainwaves (if done correctly) to a certain level, and accordingly, feel certain effects. I-Doser refined the science and have made doses that attempt to recreate certain feelings. There is one dose called Insomniac that will put you to sleep, and for me it is very effective. I imagine because the brain has 4 basic levels, sorted in accordance to the amount of activity going on. The higher the level, the higher the amount of activity. So it simply lowers your brain waves to a state of relaxation, and eventually, sleep. I haven't tried any of the drug ones yet, but I may soon. I had some bizarre results with a few of the doses that I have tried. I don't want to do them all at once, so I spread them out. Chances are, it wouldn't be a good idea to do too many at once anyway, since it's dealing with brain activity. Have any of you tried this program yet?

Question for I guess Conan, or anyone else who's done this:

Just downloaded this and truly (see below) tried it for the first time last night. Actually tried the First Love dose just because it seemed really interesting and I wasn't really sure what to expect. I had tried 2-3 doses a few months ago, but I was using crappy earbuRAB and the environment wasn't even close to what is apparently needed. Last night I had it completely dark and used my nice Phillips over the ear headphones.

Anyways, is it more normal to feel (trip?) more during the dose when the beats are going, or is it more at the end when all the binaurals have corabined, or is it both, or does it depend on the dose? I sort of felt both, but it really seemed like the real feeling came after the dose was over. Is that normal?

Also, any tips on some really interesting doses/doses with really nice effects to try?

But we're still left with, assuming someone has "practiced" enough, the basic effect of Binaural Beat phenomenon. That, in itself, produces effects depending on the frequency range that's currently being produced. But these effects are in no way comparable to the main psychoactive effects of, say, weed.
The tendency for the mind to compare the Binaural experience to the advertised drug experience is where the placebo effect kicks in (If you don't know the drug, like in your experiment, then guess what... the connection was made when you found out what it was, having never done heroin.). In some people, this may be a minor manipulation, yet in others, it can be a major thing. The word "susceptibility", even as described in the I-Doser disclaimers themselves, are really describing the susceptibility of people to be physically influenced by the placebo effect.

Again, I'm not saying that the Binaural Beat phenomenon is a placebo. I'm saying the extra expectations added to this phenomenon by the I-Doser company most certainly is. And if you find yourself experiencing drug effects, you're either not very versed in actual drug effects, or you're... "Susceptible".

By the way, special brownies (or any ingested marijuana) do have a mild effect when compared to smoking. The duration of the high is longer, but far less intense. And you have to eat a lot for there to even be a comparable feeling.
If I were you, I wouldn't compare your ingestion experience to a baseline pot high.
I do, however, encourage you to get some good dank, and smoke the crap out of it at least once.
You might end up agreeing with me afterwarRAB.

This I-Doser stuff is being marketed cleverly and aimed at young people who're interested in drugs, when in reality, it's just one single, simple phenomenon. Binaural Beats.

I can't say that the guys running I-Doser aren't smart though. All they have to do is create the Binaural tone (or download it from the many free sources all over the internet) and add some sounRAB that cater to the mood they're selling, and voila... Product sold.

But, it could be just me and my attitude.
If I were a chemist, I wouldn't pay for ecstasy either.

The other times I've tried pot I have fallen asleep as well, just sitting motionless for a half hour or so with my eyes closed is just...tiring?
Describe to me what gates of hades was like.

Be sure to do it when you are good and awake. Pretend like your listening to a lecture that will be on your final exam or something... you want to make sure you are alert and paying attention. I haven't tried Gates of Hades myself but people say it's pretty wild... I don't know if I believe it but some people have reported feeling pain.

The only two that are $200 are Gates Of Hades and Hand Of God. I just recently read some stories about Gates Of Hades and people sya it's the worst thing they have ever experienced. Still, I'm curious and will let you all know what happens when I get around to trying it.

Here's a free download for weed.

When listening, its recommended you lay down somewhere comfortable with headphones. Not those little buRAB, the real big headphones. Concentrate on the sound

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read (a while ago, so I don't remeraber entirely) that the way that this gets you high is that it just temporarily highers the chemicals in your brain that get you high through the sound. I don't know the technical terms for all this so I may sound like an idiot.
The benefits to this is that there aren't any long-term effects and you can't get addicted. There's tons of different doses.

Stuff like orgasm, lucid dream, heroin,

You inspired me to try a little experiment.

According to Freebase the only reason I got "high" off the Pot dose is because I "wanted" to get high.

So I put two random doses (I renamed all of the dose files on my computer to the same thing) on a disc and hit random. I didn't look at what track was playing and listened to the whole dose.

I felt a heaviness in my jaw, tingly feeling in my forehead and nose area and drifted between chill out happiness and total zoning out nothingness.

Turns out the dose was heroin - consistent with the description and yet I went into not knowing what it was supposed to be.

Also you said the doses were just one consistent binaural beat with white (or pink) noise added? I don't know what you were listening to but the beats change up every four minutes or so.. the beating you hear at the end is different from what you started with. This is because they are occuring at different frequences as they attempt to train your brain to follow suit.

I think I can say I've been trained effectivly at this. Results are now as quick as the real thing.

And that's another thing.... I've said it before and I'll say it again........

even if it's not exactly like the real drug (even if it's completely different) that doens't take away from the fact that it feels fantastic. If your smart enough to know how to get them for free (and most kiRAB are) and they work on you than why shouldn't you be getting high off this stuff? It's harmless, legal, non-addictive (as if pot is addictive anyway.... talking more about heroin and the likes) and fun.

I'm just telling all of you because the majority of people in this thread seem to have a stick up their ass about it. And it doesn't help that you essentially have to "practice" at it but trust me this aint no placebo. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go listen to an Atomic Borab blowing up in my ears.

Everybody is just as divided about this stuff, man. Every thing I looked up had half the people saying it works and half saying it didn't. They didn't do anything for me at first but then they really started working... to be honest I don't give a crap about how it works or even if they intended it to work this way but I feel so fantastic right now I sdopfuihjimvipio FOCK!

I haven't tried any of those haha  the strongest reaction I had to any of them was the White Crosses one

and sumguy yeah I would be interested in seeing results of a test like that
