I Demand My Money Back!! The Worst Films You've Ever Had To Sit Through

Two Face was created by the Joker to be Batman in reverse.

Harvey Dent is the ying to Bruce Wayne's yang with the scars externalised as opposed to internalised.

The character wasn't just randomly chucked into the mix like Venom in Spidey 3.

Anyhoo worst film I've ever seen is Mamma Mia.

If I want to sit through badly sung karaoke my local on a Thursday night is a preferable option as at least I can get simultaneously drunk.

Tomb Raider - cradle of life. fell asleep half way through last night on bbc3, terrible terrible film - want that (nearly) 2 hours back !

haven't watched miami vice - would have done with frienRAB, but one of them had seen part of it and said of the time that he watched it "everyone cheered when the dvd broke". :p

A couple of new ones (to me) to add to the list, that I watched whilst housesitting this past weekend just to pass the time and to make use of the Sky box!

Superman Returns...........how dull was this? The guy playing Supie came across as a charisma free zone and not a patch on Christopher Reeve imo whilst Lois Lane had no real personality at all.......Margot Kidder really was perfect in the part. The climax with Lex Luthor's plans being thwarted was so anti-climactic I thought we were being dealt a dummy and that the film makers had a major twist up their sleeves.....but no, his henchmen were crushed by falling crystals and didn't have the obligatory showdown with Supie that I'd at least expected after their torture and assault on him earlier and Lex and his moll flew off to be stranded oh so comically on a tiny desert island just waiting for the sequel to start. Dull as ditchwater sums it all up perfectly!

Now, this one I'm not so sure I should put in this thread because even though it's horrendously bad I had so much fun laughing at it that I feel a bit mean nominating it......one of Michael Caine's finest pieces ( and there have been so many!)...........Jaws 3 - The Revenge.......the sight of that shark grinning constantly as it hunts down its prey was a joy to behold. This smiley>>>>>>:D doesn't come close to the inane grin the fake shark had on it throughout the film and the sight of it chasing the guy through the sunken wreck and, most of all, trying to board the plane that Michael Caine has just landed at sea will stay with me for a very long time........so bad it's brilliant!:D

I thought Natural Born Killers was absolute kack - though there are teeny tiny good bits here and there. I find the weird imagery, flashing lights and the speed at which the images change much more upsetting than anything about the story or the violence in it.

I LOVED Sideways - it was hilarious

My worst films list:

  • Evil Dead - there's too much violence so it's got boring FAST!!! So never bothered watching any of the sequels
  • Come to think of it - anything film that's a gorefest from start to finish. I really don't want to see people being pretty much ground into mince. It also gets to the point where it's so much that it becomes boring i.e. Hellraiser, The Fly II
  • All the Nightmare on Elm St sequels
  • Atonement - SERIOUSLY pissed me off with all the award nominations it got...I feel asleep in the cinema watching this
  • If it's got Tom Cruise in it there's a 99.9% chance that I'll hate it
Special mentions have to go to Serendipity and Must Love Dogs. Much as I want to marry John Cusack and should be happy at any chance to lust after the man, but mostly I want to reach into the screen and batter him for agreeing to appear in such SHITE!!:mad::mad:

Controversial.....kidding! Titanic is just one of those films you just have to watch because of all the hype. I love and hate the film really. LOTR i don't agree with you on that (Gotta love LOTR!!)

Recently, The Mummy 3. I knew it would suck, yet glutton for punishment and masochist that I am, I still went to see it.

What a turgid abomination, what a steaming pile of camel wank that movie was. I'd like to say that penetrating my testicles with a rusty breadknife was preferable to seeing that turd of a film, but I fear not even that analogy would do justice to such a woeful waste of celluloid.

Hostel isn't a bad movie. It was quite an interesting story and was satisfactory for gore fans. It wasn't a classic but it wasn't terrible. The second one is quite poor tho.

Actually, I'd forgotten about Independence Day. Yep, it was total garbage. There was another couple of 90's disaster films that were equally atrocious. One about a volcano, infact I think it was called 'Volcano' with Tommy Lee Jones, OMG! 'Twister' and 'Armageddon', all totally crap, all worthy of the title 'Worst Films Ever Made' IMO.
