Okay some people here mentioned it was too much bike for a novice but I still went ahead and purchased it. Im still gonna wait a while before i start driving it. I'm still gonna take the safety driving courses and the beginner courses. Well here goes my real question.

What steps should I take in order to make this motorcycle work for me as a beginner?
- is there any particular things to avoid? ( besides cars )
- what are the positive things about this bike for me as a beginner?

All im looking for is ways i can make this powerful bike work for me. I been told already that this bike can have a lot of power, which is not good for a beginner. But what are some ways around this problem?

My stats: if it matters?
height: 6'0
weight: 210
Manual car experience: yes
Do i want to speed like crazy: no
am i strong enough to hold the bike and not make it fall: yes.. go to the gym everyday
experience riding motorcycles: none, but will have some after taking the msf course and the beg. courses.
