How were the Jews different or similar tp other cultures in the ancient Near East?

well lets see. the jews had many diffrences . one was a code of hygine that surpassed all these other nations.
they had laws that protected animals from crulty
and laws that protected the land from overuse
women could inharit land
and they were monotheistic
they had a strict moral code that protected women and the unborn.
however alot of that wnet down the tube when the nation split into two. one side was isrial the other juda.
their legal system was sepeior to that of the other nations. when they followed the law that Jehovah gave to moses
and the lower and middle classes had access to edgucation.

they even had laws of conduct for war and the humane treatment of prisoners of war.
the assyrians were unbeleiveably crul. this is probabaly not what you were looking for. but you might find it interesting.

Where Jews any different than other people in Ancient Near East such as Sumerians, Assyrians, Egyptians, Persians? Did they have any similarities? How?
