i have got a Kenwood cd player with the two red and white outputs on the back, (i have put my 6 by 9's strength from my original speakers) i have just got a JBL sub but it was in French and i cant find how to wire it up, its just a stand alone sub so do i put one wire or red or both to it and where (its got 4 inputs on the sub)?????
i dont have a clue so any help please.

I am going to get an amp later but a want to wire it as it is for now.

Umm. dont wire it to your head unit. Its a dual voice coil, and if you bridge it, you are most likely going to fry ur head unit. You need an amp..

No dice there buddy. Those red and whites are rca outputs they go to the amp. The 17 watt rms from that head unit won't budge the sub. It will only overheat the voicecoil and ruin the sub. It has to move to stay cool. Don't even think about doing that
