Scenario:
I am running a program, and it has a soundtrack made out of MIDI files. However, the Midi files are inside of an encrypted archive and I cannot view them without running the program - they are public domain Midi files from Video Games, which confuses me as to why they are encrypted.
My question is, are there any programs that can record a playing MIDI file for editing?

EDIT: I need to actually edit the instruments in the file - a recording using sound recorder will not give me a MIDI file.
