How to put a head-unit in into a honda civic 2002 ex?

take out the stock radio and see how much room there is around it for the new unit. Length is the consideration. Check out the stock wiring and consider how it would match the new headunit, or if you'd need to do some modifications. Knowledge of what your working with is the best tool.
 
If you buy your head unit from crutchfield.com then they will supply you with all the necessary hardware you will need to install the head unit.

All you will really have to do is remove the old HU, attached the supplied harness adapter up to your old factory harness, cut and twist your new HU's wires onto the adapter, install the supplied frame so there will be no gaps around the HU, and then just install the HU.
