How to install aftermarket radio in 03 dodge ram 1500 with premium sound.?

I bought a install kit. The power comes on but there is no sound. I believe it has something to do with the factory amp which is behind the glove box. I hope there is a way to install without hardwiring to all the speakers. I know the radio is good because I hooked up a speaker to it and it works. The factory radio still works but the cd player is broken. Hope someone has useful input. thank you.
 
if you bought the aftermarket harness for it you need to look in that harness and see what pins on the cars harness are not in the aftermarket one if the aftermarket harness has a blue or a blue/white connect that to the blue/white on the stereos harness if not then the turn on lead for the amp is in one of the leftover pin locations you can plug the old radio in the factory harness and check which wire has 12 volts once the stereo is turned on
