How to find the angle of elevation?

my question says:

"A laser beam is to be directed through a small hole in the center of a circle of radius 10 feet. The origin of the beam is 35 feet from the circle. At what angle of elevation should the beam be aimed to ensure that it goes through the hole?"

okay, all i got so far is tan A = ? i know i have to use tan, but I'm literally STUCK! Anyone mind helping?!

Because you're finding the angle, you would take the tan-1(10/35).

The reason you place the 10 over the 35 is because 10 is the y value (how high) and 35 is the x value (how far away). Tan = sin/cos; and sin is equal to the y value (or 10) and cos is equal to the x value (or 35).

Hope this helped.
