I have the 2006 Honda Accord and I need to install an XM Radio Receiver in it. I purchased the FM Direct adapter so I can switch from the regular FM radio and the XM Radio stations without any interference. I am aware that I have to remove the compartment right below the stereo so I could connect the adapter directly to the stereo antenna. I know how to remove the trims and everything. However, I am not quite sure which is the antenna. Here is the picture of how the "wires" look like when the compartment is taken out. Is the antenna on the right side where it's secured with a white strap?

Also...I have heard about the BlitzSafe AUX input that I can connect to the 14-pin AUX input...that way, I can also connect an iPod to the car if I want to. I'd like to get ideas on this...which one should I install in the car...the FM Direct of the BlitzSafe.

Thank you very much for your help. For those who plan to tell me to get it professionally installed, please don't respond to this question. I need some "techy" people know stuff like this.

Thanks a bunch!!

be very careful not to drop the radio the screen light will get damage,
you have to remove the radio to unplug the antenna and plug the fm modulator you also need power and ground for that unit
sound quality is not much better than the wireless ,
so there is going to be some distortion the AUX adapter you mention is the best way to go you will use the aux or xm button on the radio

good luck

this is the aux we use on honda stereos
