How to break the cycle of procrastination?

I am a straight-A student, but I am finding myself procrastinating and then having to stay up all night to make up for it. Therefore, my 10 hours of sleep has gone down to 7 hours of sleep, and for me, that is not enough, because I continually lose concentration after 1st period. For example, I had three surprise days off of school just last week, and I planned to work on my project that is due in 2 weeks. But then, I spent all three days wasting time on youtube, and on the third night, I get pissed at myself for wasting all that precious time and tried to make up for it by pulling an all nighter. The next day, I got sick and couldn't go to school. What I thought on the first day was that I'll relax during the morning and work in the afternoon, but when afternoon came along, I told myself that the project was simple and that i could work on it after dinner. After dinner, I again thought that I had two more days and that was more than enough, so I put it off even more. This cycle continued. I tried schedules, and staying disciplined but I've become too flexible (I keep on trying to change my schedule to fit my procrastination- eg. 4:30 pm is time for project, BUT since I have three days off, just for today, 4:30 pm could be time for youtube). Any ideas on how to break this cycle? I know I'm going to become crazy if I keep on losing unnecessary hours of sleep. Thanks! P.S. You see how bad of a procrastinator I am since I spent 30 minutes of my time writing up this question.

My friend started UNI this year. She has just cancelled her facebook account. As she said it is distracting her and she had been wasting time on it.
You need to not get on there! Or every single time you do get on put an alarm clock on for 1/2 hour and as soon as it goes off - no excuses turn the computer off.
I know how fast time goes by when you are on the internet - it really is a time waster. You have to be strict with it.
Ask a family member for help - to stop you getting on there!

Find a point in your cycle that you can cut out to disrupt it. My suggestion. Unplug yourself from the internet. Literally. Take the cable from your computer and unplug it and from the modem and pack it away somewhere. Or disable the wireless function on your laptop. Use it only when you need it. If you can get your work done like this for two weeks, you should be able to break the habit (I've always found that two weeks of a new behavior is a good training period for breaking a habit).
