i just recently baught my kawasaki used and the idle is way wack how should i set it without a gauge and also the clear thing on the engine shows the parts should i be able to see oil or just parts? (parts are intact) what would be best oil i know i dont use synthetic.thanks alex.

Is it carbs or injection? There'll be an adjustment screw/knob where the throttle cable meets the carb/throttle body. Twiddle that.
With the motorcycle perfectly balanced on level ground (i.e. straight up, not on side stand) the oil window should either be half full, or to the marked line if there is one.
I use 10/40W fully synth on all my bikes.
