How should i set my AMP levels?

I have 2 10" Xplods and a 1000watt Sony AMP in a bandpass box. I listen to mostly metal, all i want is good bass to back my music. What should i set the Levels at on my AMP, so im not getting hip-hop bass on metal tracks.
 
if u listen to heavy metal, u shouldnt have a band pass box, but with that being said, id set the frequency on the amp at 200 hz, not the lower end of the setting.
