How much would a nice Kawasaki ninja 250 cost? ?

I want one that will be reliable, but also cheap. It doesnt even have to be a Kawasaki ninja, just something with a similar style.
And also how much are helmets and other needed gear?
 
There are two 250's with the style you are looking for. Of course, the Ninja 250 and the Honda cbr250. The Ninja sells for $4600 new and Honda sells for $3,999 new. But, if you are looking for used don't limit your search to 250's. The 500cc sportbike is also good for a beginner. There are many motorcycles that you can get used for less than $2000. The $1000 bikes take a better sense of mechanics in order to get a good deal. But, generally, if it starts, runs, stops, and restarts warm it will be a good bike.
