How much music do you listen to in an average day?

lets see.
according to last.fm, i have scrobbled 55,963 tracks in 38+ months (which comes out to about 1,167 days) which comes out to....(correct me if im wrong).... an average of 48 songs a day!

and if the average song is 3:20 [WikiAnswers] then about 2.5 hours of music a day.

^ I always loved doing that in school, but nothing is worst than when you get caught off guard and provide an answer for a question you did not hear. Then again, nothing is better than when the answer is right on point.

There are 1140 minutes in a day.

You spent about 450 minutes listening to music. (Provided the average length is 3:00)

690 minutes of misused time remain.

My question is WTF were you thinking for that remaining 11.5 hours?!!!? :)

Well, being a Saturday, and my only day off, I decided to pipe in the music! T'is a day that will most likely kick up my listening hours per day aveerage!

LOL. I wouldn't even think of putting on headphones while riding in the car with someone...unless you're a kid on a family trip with your parents. Rude doesn't even begin to describe something like that.

ReminRAB of all the kiRAB I see all the time walking around with their frienRAB, with headphones on.

Prolly at least 8 hours a day, I drive a semi for a living, so music is playing all day to and from and at work, its a beautiful thing, I rarely listen to music at home though, only if im downloading.

Same. I thought a lot more people would be listening to a lot more music. Especially since some of them post several albums a week in the 'Albums you just bought/download' thread.

I listen to music at least 6 hours a day. an hour of it is spent being force fed the radio at school, (The radio usually is on at least an hour a day) and the rest is either spent listening to music in the CD player, on vinyl, on my MP3 player or on my computer. If my Last.FM could scrobble all of the songs I've listened to today, I would have a rather large library.

I have music running through three receivers, plus through my computer for 10 hours a day, so If I'm in the house, on the patio or on the porch, I'm always listening to music.

Man if I had no kiRAB, family obligations or work it would be music from the minute I woke up to the minute I went to sleep, and I seriously would not get tired of it at all... I have big enough a collection to sustain that sort of music playing for a loooooong time.... and I would play that much, no doubts about it!

Unfortunately yes, especially on long drives, which to me is the worst time to do it. The weirdest thing is that she can't seem to figure out why on earth I would think it's rude.
