Does race play a part in your decision to be friends with someone? Do you experience any emotional barriers because of cultural and racial difference?

race doesn't have anything to do with picking my friends. how they treat other people does, and if they are respectful play a much bigger roll.

race dosn't affect anything. culture, however, affects who i'd be friends with. if i cant speak their language, it would be hard to be friends with them.

It doesn't. I would never pick my friends by looks! How mean it would be for me to do that! I don't care what race, religion, culture, etc. As long as they like me and I like them then we're friends. (I mean like as in friend).

I know most of the ppl are gonna say no, but that's just plain bs. I'd hate to say it but it's true. Just look at the school lunch tables...how ppl seem to segregated by themselves.

Not at all, a person is a person no matter what their race/culture is. The way I look at it is that they bring so much more to my life because of their cultural experience.

I agreed with the first answer. I am pretty much friends with everyone else no matter their race because I like to learn more about their cultures and their special traditions are what make them unique.
