How many pipettes should I be using to culture cells?

You'd need one to wash them. I pour the trypsin on. Then another to fill media into both bottles, then the same one to transfer the cells since it should be sterile. So 2.

If your protocol is more complicated you would of course need more.

I work in a cell culturing lab, and I feel like I'm using lots of pipettes which isn't necessarily good since I want to be as efficient as possible while still not contaminating the lines (since this uses even more resources). When I split cells into two different containers, what is the normal number of pipettes I should use to complete this process? When I refill the media, what is the normal number of pipettes I should use to complete this process?
