I am a Mexican American living in South Texas where 90-95% of the population is of Latin descent (mostly Mexican). Why is it that the Latin and Latin American people always make such a huge deal out of wether you're Latin or Latin American? I mean, the Latin American folk seem to look down to the Latin folk because they're foreigners, and the Latin folk seem to look down to the Latin American folk because they've become "Americanized". I mean, who cares what side of the border you're from? In my opinion, we're all part of the same human family. Does this happen in any other cultures?
