How is your nokia E60 experience?

I dont see a lot of thread on the e60. It looks like a good phone to buy for under $300 with wifi. Is there something wrong with this phone? I dont see too many ppl buying it.

It doesn't have a camera -- I think a lot of us want at least a basic camera for those shots every now and then. I know it was made on purpose without one, no problem there -- I just don't think that the people on this forum are the target for that phone.

I own an E60 and it's the PERFECT business phone. The lack of camera isn't a problem for me, only a waste of space and battery

Amazing screen (352x416 like n80 -> tons of compatible apps ), great speaker (for tomtom... Much louder and clear then my HP pda!), 4/5 days battery life, solid and smaller then other s60v3 devices. The wifi is great with wep and wpa (ok, it drains battery but it's normal...), no probs with BT and the last firmware available online by nokia provides excellent blackberry connectivity and improves voIp functions, even VPN client works very well.

E60 rulez If you don't need a camera is the best choice, believe me

I second floc. Had e60 ever since day one. I waited for 3 months as Nokia kept delaying the release. Once I got it I was blown away by the screen. WiFi rocks and the BT with my GPS device is awesome too. In short, I highly recommend it.

I think people haven't really gone for the phone because it not quad band and lacks 850. However I use T-mobile and the phone works perfectly for me. Sometimes I do miss not having a camera but not enough to give up my E60. Hey floc, what did you do to get the blackberry working on your E60? I am interested in getting it set up on my phone and would like some advice.

Love this phone.. I'm making VoIP calls to my friends & family in Europe fro Canada for dirt cheap! Don't need a camera. I got a 1 gb. memory card loaded up with mp3s & It's perfect for my daily commuting

i too have the e60.. and absolutely love it. im the type of person who is never satisfied with his phone, and gets a new one every 6 months.... i've kept this phone longer than any other, and have absolutely loved it. the only thing i think turns people off to it is the lack of camera. so what. i dont need a camera on my phone, its a phone, not a camera!i like that it has a normal keypad, i dont like qwerty keypads. in short, this phone is incredible.

I seriously don't get why nokia even made the E60 in the first place... Let's see...

E50: Small S60 with big and bright screen and 1.3MP camera, very successful
E60: Bigger than E50, no camera, no QWERTY
E61: QWERTY, Landscape by default, No camera
E70: Numpad or QWERTY, 2.0MP Camera

So... Why would anybody want an E60?? E50 is smaller with a camera. E61 and E70 has QWERTY... No point really. I've been wondering that for a while.

Well, the E50 came out quite a bit later than the E60, but the E60 also has quite a few advantages over the E50. The E60 has a nicer screen than any of the phones you mentioned, except for the E70, and The E50 doesn't have 3G, which all the other phones have.

I think the E60 is the ultimate, compact business phone. It is also one of the cheapest s60v3 phones.

I LOVE my E60. I couldn't care less about camera (unless it is as good as standalone camera), 850 band (don't need it on T-mobile), qwerty (don't need it, and it affects the size of the phone) or what type of memory it uses (i don't understand why is this important, unless you use same memory card for multiple devices and you need compatibility). However i do care about screen resolution (E60>E50,E61), wi-fi (E60-yes,E50-no), landscape mode(E60-yes,E50-no), size(E60E70) and price(E60

3G would be a useful addition IMO, as would a better camera and or GPS. But given that there are E6x devices out there to be separated positionally, dont expect Wi-Fi on the E5x, expecially with that tiny screen.

The E60 for me, was a good idea for its time. What I think Nokia should do to make it relevant as an E series device for 2007 is to give it:
1) A keyboard, similar to that of M600i
2) Proper memory ie MicroSD, not that Rs-MMC nonsense
3) HSDPA
4) GPS

and yes a 2-3 MP camera option, just as E50 and E61 can come with or without it.

Ever since my E60 went down I've been trying to find a replacement. I am currently switching between the N73 and the E62. My E62 is unlocked and as far as I can tell has no Cingular branding either but its definately an E62. No wifi and its SUPER slow compared to my E60 and N73. I use the N73 on the weekends and the E62 for business during the week. I would give them both up just to have my E60 back. I used it at all times, for both business and personal use.
