How is your nokia E60 experience?

Hello,

I'm not a cell phone guru but from what I read unlocked E60 should work with no problems with Cingular. Is this correct? I would like to know because I find E60 very affordable cell phone and I would like to switch to cingular from verizon and start using it.

Any input anyone?

This is not the phone for you, sorry. Cingular (AT&T! heh) operates in the frequency of 850MHz in the USA (think like a FM radio channel), but the E60 does *not* have the hardware inside to work on 850 -- it works on 900MHz/1800MHz (Europe et. al) and 1900MHz (USA, primarily T-Mobile).

I did a small search and this is what I came up with, go to this link http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_us.shtml it says that Cingular will support GSM 1900 is that right?

yes it does but those "850" gurus claimed that without 850 u wont be able to survive...u will get less reception but the phone certainly will work on cingular.
