How do you wire a Mono Amp to 2 Subs?

I have 2 Kicker CVR 12"s and am running a 2 channel amp now, but is it better to run a mono amp, if so how do you wire it specifically??
 
personally i would stick with a 2 channel. mono amps would require you to hook them both to a single channel which most likely isn'tt all that safe, but can be done. if you decide to go for it, just put both speaker wire to the positive and neg. post on the amp. simple
