I have both amp and sub in my volvo 850 and i got a new acura, how do i take the sub and amp out? can i do it myself or do i need to get like circuit city or another place to do it for me?

You can take it out fairly easily yourself.

Step1: Unhook from battery under the hood (or in trunk?)
Step2: If amp is screwed onto box just unplug all the wires except the wires going to the subs.
Step3: Pull all the wiring out of your vehicle that is run back to the subs.

For the rca and remote wire they will be tired into the back of your stereo. Simply cut the Remote wire (will say like auto antenna or remote on your stereo) be sure to cut the wire with plenty of room to re splice. Forget this step if it has a plug you can easily unplug it.

Place your stereo back in shouldn't have much a problem with this.. it takes a lot more to wire it in than it does to take out.. I have no doubt you can handle this yourself.

there is no need to waste money it is very simple you can do it the lazy way by leaving the wires and just capping off the ends with lots of electrical tape or you could follow every wire leading from the amp to the car and unplug them.
